Avigilon’s AI-powered facial recognition technology accelerates response times by quickly identifying people of interest. The operator can then verify the recognition by other means, including a physical identity check. People of interest are identified based on one or more secure watch lists managed by authorized users at your organization. Watch lists can be populated using staff images on file or appearances of the person on recorded video.
To add facial recognition to an Avigilon system, a facial recognition licence is required, or specific facial recognition cameras deployed to each location. Adding analytics to an Avigilon system will increase the processing requirements of the video server.
